OBJECTS WITH OBJECTIVES: An international networking symposium for the study of Puppetry and Applied Drama. Coordinated by David Grant (Queen's University, Belfast), Dr Aja Marneweck (The Paper Body Collective) and Sara Matchett (University of Cape Town)
The overall goal of this project is to explore the exciting potential of sharing international expertise in puppetry with expertise in applied drama: to see how the use of puppetry in community-based educational drama might be enhanced through the use of applied drama techniques such as Playback Theatre, Theatre of Witness and Theatre of the Oppressed, and how those practices themselves might be enhanced through the use of puppets.
